Our success stories

LIFE HEALTH CARE SAVING - R306,413.00

What happened: The client`s house was auctioned by the bank in 2003 and they received an amount in the region of R240 000. This did not cover the full outstanding amount on the bond and the bank instructed by the Attorneys to collect the difference which was in the region of R70 000. For some reason, the attorneys inflated the balance and applied for an amount of R389,913.00. The order was granted in court, served on Life Health Care  and started deducting in October 2010. It was after consultation with the client that we established that the judgment debt applied for was incorrect. The attorneys were asked to rectify this on their side and furnish us with a statement reflecting the correct balance. A copy of the EAO together with a letter from the attorneys stating what the correct balance is are attached hereto. The balance on our system was currently R388,413.00

We immediately challenged them on this and we managed to save a Sasol employee the amount of R42,780.91 after the recalculation was done. Now the new balance including all cost and Interest is R11,135.45.

LIFE HEALTHCARE SAVING - R354, 000.00

What happened: The attorneys were supposed to collect a debt of R125 000 of behalf of their client but when they received this, they inflated the balance to over R500 000 by charging excessive interest and legal fees. We challenged them on this and they had to reduce the balance significantly. This resulted in a saving for this employee of R354, 000.00
